National High School Chess League

In-person tournaments where we partner with charities to raise money for different causes. A majority portion of entry fees goes to the partner charity or cause.

Our seventeen state affiliates administer team-based high school league tournaments across the U.S and Canada

Programs taught by experienced Chess players who have USCF ratings and have competed in various tournaments. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes are offered. Programs are free for students K-12 and take place during the summer. Workshops are done throughout the year.

Education Equity

In past years, we have seen a growing disparity in education across socio-economic classes. In 2023, SLCA is committed to fight education inequity through non-profit partnerships and workshops in underserved communities.
